Hard flat surfaces:
The best surface is a flat hard surface such as flat glass. Common places might be a glass desktop, stove top and kitchen bench. These items may not be the best as the spinnning action can leave a mark on, especially is spun at a high RPM artificially. Spinning a top with your fingers will rarely mark a glass surface if the ball is clean and free from any debris.

Dished glass surfaces:
Purchasing a magnifying beauty mirror is a great way to get a surface that is dished or concave and will keep the top spinning in the center due to the curved surface. Desire3D supplied such concave glass in the form of a dual sided concave glass that are a perfect size to sit on your desk and showcase the top. The glass comes with a beautiful polished brass ring that surround the glass and assists is stopping the top flying off when trying to spin it as fast as possible.

Desire3D is launching a new range of all metal spinning tops designed with the aim of being the most asthetic tops with a maximum spin time. These tops are crafted from all Australian made metals and utilise the best metal for each unique top. Desire3D have recently developed and made new equipment specifically to produce these new innovative tops. The first to be released is the 31mm Brass/Aluminium spinning top. This top is made with the end user in mind, something to hold and twist while on the phone, to focus your thoughts or engage in competition with others to see who can get the best spin times.

Designed to acheive spin times in excess of 10 minutes with some practice. These tops are polished to a beautiful finish and each one is tested prior to packaging to ensure it has minimal vibration and great spin behaviour. Each top is hand crafted and has it own character. At Desire3D tops are all tested on our custom Top Tester and the data saved.
